TAKAMAKURA is the Winner of the 2025 SIT Furniture Design Award in the Armchair category, recognizing its outstanding creativity, cultural depth, and design excellence.

The "TAKAMAKURA" armchair is a blend of cultures, where tradition meets modernity. Inspired by the Japanese Takamakura pillow, the headrest preserves the essence of long-standing comfort, while the chair's refined modern design brings a contemporary aesthetic.

To further enrich this cross-cultural dialogue, upcycled Persian carpet has been incorporated into the headrest pillow and armrests, adding warmth, heritage, and sustainability to the design.

This piece is more than just furniture, it's a celebration of craftsmanship, history, and innovation, seamlessly blending influences from Japan and Persia into a unique, modern expression.
